Grey Jazz Big Band
The Grey Jazz Big Band consists dominantly of 'gentlemen' who are able to rehearse on Friday mornings. I use the term gentlemen to be polite and the adverb dominantly as there are two ladies in the group at present. For the most part the 'gentlemen' have grey hair. The ladies not so much. We play big band arrangements, most of which are swing tunes from the 'golden era'.
In this group I play lead trombone and sing quite a few songs. Our regular gigs include Sunday afternoons at Buster's, Canada Day at the Mayor's Breakfast and November engagements at Shenkman Arts Centre and Centrepointe Theater.
